What causes Trust Issues? No Patience and Accountability.

You cannot Trust without surrendering your own will.

Why do I say that?

Well, let’s look at the true meaning of Trust.

Trust is defined as having confidence, faith, or hope in someone or something.

If you are surrendering your will, who are you giving your will to?
The answer is the person who loves you.

When you have faith in something or someone you have to listen and believe in that someone or something. Surrendering your will is listening and putting confidence in someone or something.

What is Will?

Will is expressing and having the willingness to carry out a request or suggestion of the Trustee.

Surrendering is the Willingness to carry out.
The first observation before you surrender is to realize that I am poor. I am vulnerable. I am in Need.

If I do not understand that I am in need, and I begin to trust my mind, I am not using wisdom.

Why do I say that?

Whoever trusts in his mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered. Proverbs 28:26.

What do I need? I need love, understanding, and direction.

Do not put your trust in anything that does not represent the qualities or characteristics of love.

Why do I say don’t put your trust in anything that does not represent the qualities or characteristics of love? The reason is because love, is always trust and love is part of trust.

What do I need?
I need love, understanding, and direction.

If you are married look at your spouse right now. And smile, because there is love, understanding, and direction in your marriage.

Trust is a two-way street, meaning it goes both ways. Two people have to trust each other.

What method should a person use when trusting?

The method behind trusting is using Accountability Trust and Reasonability Trust.

Trustee accountability is making decisions about what is right and wrong for the vulnerable person.

What is a Vulnerable Person?
A vulnerable Person is a person who is susceptible to physical or emotional attacks or harm.

Accountability Trust - means you accept the decisions given to you by the Trustee.

Responsible Trust - means I am accountable for what I do with those decisions given to me by the Trustee.

The most important actions of Responsible Trust are Love, Acceptance, Patience, Faithfulness, Self- Control, and Perseverance.

Why?  Love covers up everything with its attributes. With Love there is Patience. Patience is where most of us go wrong. Not willing to wait. With patience then come faithfulness, self-control, and perseverance.

An individual is accountable for their acts and behaviors to the trustee. This is part of the individual will.

You cannot trust without surrendering your own will and believing in the Trustee.

What is a Trustee?

Trustee- a person or member of a board given control or powers of administration of property in trust with a legal obligation to administer it solely for the purposes specified.

A Trustee has a legal obligation to administer a vulnerable person to save them from danger.

Why do I say the Trustee has a legal obligation? The answer is love always protects.

Remember Trust is defined as having confidence, faith, or hope in someone or something.

Who should we put our trust in?
The answer is Jesus.
The reason is Jesus is Love.

Why do I say trust Jesus?

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.

Remember Trust is defined as having confidence, faith, or hope in someone or something.

We learn previously that Substance = Jesus

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1.

My willingness is to trust. Because I am Vulnerable to what is wrong and I need love, understanding, and direction.  I need Jesus because He is my Trustee. He is our Trustee.

Trust the Trustee because I am Vulnerable to what is wrong.

Have Mercy | by Life Coaching Speaker Trey Knowles

Have Mercy. If you do not have Mercy for yourself and others you are acting in Malice.

To have Mercy you are showing forgiveness and compassion for mistakes. Without Mercy, you are acting in Malice.

Malice is the intention or desire to do evil, or ill will to someone or yourself.

Why do I say if you don’t have Mercy you are acting in Malice?

The reason is because love does not delight in evil and also because Love is kind.

Speaking evil words and wishing death and ill-treatment towards others or yourself Is delighting in evil. Love does not delight in evil. Love does not count any wrongdoing.

Why do I say Love does not count any wrongdoing?

The reason is love is not revengeful.

You cannot have Mercy if you have revenge. Without Mercy there is death.

So question yourself do you have Mercy or do you have Malice?

But go and learn what this means: Jesus tells us. 'I desire Mercy, not sacrifice.' I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."Matthew 9:13

Without Mercy, there is death because of Malice. Malice says you must have a sacrificial death because of your differences and mistakes.

Mercy gives life.

Mercy is giving and receiving. To receive Mercy that person is thankful and willing to listen to correction and walk in favor.

To give Mercy is showing your love and compassion to forgive, correct, and encourage by producing what is good.

The word of God says in Micah 6:8

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you?

To act justly to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Why do we need to have Mercy? The reason is that God is Merciful. God desires mercy and not sacrifice.

Two things that take our minds off of Mercy;

Competing

Comparing

Competing and comparing causes us to lose focus on mercy sometimes in life.

Why do I say that? Most of us are competing trying to establish superiority over others to get ahead in life. When competing sometimes Malice can jump in our hearts without us even realizing it. All we see is the promotion that we want.

Most of us are always comparing looking for similarities or dissimilarities between ourselves and others. When comparing sometimes Malice can jump in our hearts without us realizing it.

Have Mercy. If you do not have Mercy for yourself and others you are acting in Malice.

Love does not delight in evil, love does not count any wrongdoings, and Love is always kind.
