 Being blessed is being Holy.
Why do I say that?
Reason is.  God’s kindness is intended to lead us into repentance and His love.

When you are led into repentance you now changing so you can walk into Godly truth.

Being blessed is being Holy. When you are Holy you have consecrated yourself to be devoted to the Lord.  This is walking into His love.

Now recognize that you are Special. Why do I say recognize you are special? Because. You are now made clean. You have separated yourself from unrighteousness?

Now, this is not by your righteousness. But the righteousness that comes by faith in Jesus Christ our Lord. By faith in Jesus, you are Holy.

We have chosen to become Jesus' disciples. Why do I say we have chosen to become Jesus' disciples? Because we put our faith in Jesus by hearing and doing.

In Matthew 16:24-27 Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.  For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.

What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.

Being blessed is being Holy. Being blessed is separating ourselves from unrighteousness by faith in Jesus.

Leviticus 20:26 says “You are to be holy to me because I, the LORD, am holy, and I have set you apart from the nations to be my own.”

Leviticus 19:2 says "Speak to the entire congregation of the Israelites and tell them: 'Be holy because I, the LORD your God, am holy.”

Being blessed is being Holy.

3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

5 “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

7 “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons[a] of God.

Dwelling Place Flesh or Spirit | by Life Coaching Speaker Trey Knowles

We have learned that Dwelling Place- is where you live and what you allow to live with you.
Life is in the Spirit of Jesus by walking in obedience. If we are living to please Jesus we are walking in the Spirit.
Why do I say that?

The word of God tells us in Galatians 6:8
Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

From the Spirit -means the Spirit Jesus -That we reap eternal life.

Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction. What are the acts of the flesh?

The word of God tells us in Galatians 5:19-21 says The acts of the flesh are obvious: Adultery,  sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery;  idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, envy, murders, drunkenness, strife,  orgies, and the like.

I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. That is flesh.

We used to live like this “past tense.” Jesus has set us free from the flesh. Thank you, Jesus. Now that we put our faith in Jesus we put to death the things of the flesh.

Now we walk in the spirit. What is the Spirit?

The word of God tells us in Galatians 5:22-24 For the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things, there is no law.

Those of us who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

We have learned that Dwelling Place- is where you live and what you allow to live with you. Flesh or Spirit.

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. Galatians 5:16

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, Galatians 5:22

And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Galatians 5:24

In order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. Romans 8:4

Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. As I warned you before, I warn you that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:19-21

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation, he will also provide a way of escape, so that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13

Dwelling Place- is where you live and what you allow to live with you.
Where you live determines your peace and your life.

Why do I say this? Reason is. You only have two options either you choose life in Jesus or you choose death by living the wrong way.

Obedience is where you choose to live and what you allow to live with you.

What I mean is this, who do you choose to direct your life? What Will are you living by (what authority), who has control over you?

Question yourself. Where should everyone be living?

The answer is Jesus Christ. Why do I say that?

The word of God tells us in 1 John 3:24 that the one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and He in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the spirit he gave us.

What does God command?

For us to love one another, believe in the name of Jesus the son of God.

Jesus the Son God tells us in John 14:15.  “If you love me, keep my commands.”

Jesus also tells us in John 15:10. If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I kept my Father’s commands and remain in His love.

In Matthew 19:17 the people ask Jesus what is good. Jesus replied. There is only one who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.

Obedience is where you choose to live. Obedience is our dwelling Place.

You cannot allow anything to live with you that operates out of God's commands.  Why do I say this?  Reason is. God is holy and sin separates.

Dwelling Place- is where you live and what you allow to live with you.

Obedience is where you choose to live. Obedience is our dwelling Place.

What are Idols? by Trey Knowles

False Idols- An idol can be a person or thing that is greatly admired, loved, or revered that is the opposite of what God truly represents in his word. Idols can also be an image or representation of a god used as an object of worship.

What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people. 2 Corinthians 6:16

Dedicated- (of a person) devoted to a task or purpose; having single-minded loyalty or integrity

“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money. Matthew 6:24

"Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; and whoever does not take up the cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Those who find their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will find it" Matthew 10:37-39

While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him. Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.” He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” Matthew 12:46-50

I'd Rather Be A Slave | by Life Coaching Speaker Trey Knowles

| Friday, June 2, 2023
I’d rather be a slave than a slave of my own free will.
I can’t live a life without a Master.
I need a Master who can give me life, and who is life.

Why do I say such things, and what do I mean?

Listen. There is no direction without obedience, and I cannot direct myself.

Showing Obedience is showing honor by living up to the fulfilled terms of the commitment.

Have you heard the words from your parents, if you cannot abide by my rules you can’t live in my house?

If you are not walking in obedience in your parent’s house, you have decided to no longer live in that house, and not to honor your parents. So now you become a slave to your own free will.

A Slave that does not obey is a slave to himself and anything that masters that slave with no direction to life is simply lost.

Why do I say this? Reason, with no obedience, the blind cannot direct the blind.

When you are a slave to your own free will, you have no foundation and no direction. You become a slave to self-gravitation, and every subject will flood in and hold you captive to your willful desires.

No foundation leads a person to grow wild with the wind.

Why is that? No foundation means nothing has been a planet in that person.

Because without direction you don’t know what is right and what is wrong.

There is a way that seems right but it leads to destruction.
Without direction, people are simply blowing with the wind.

The parent’s job is to guide. If the parents are slaves to themselves then the parents cannot guide their children in the right direction. Why do I say that? The reason, the parents have no foundation and no direction. All directions must come from a good true pure substance of Life.

Who is life and who should we build our foundation? The answer is Jesus Christ.

Why?  Because Jesus Christ is the only one who came to earth and knows God and saw God and honored God, who is our father, who created all things. So Jesus is the way, and the truth, and the life.  Jesus tells us this in John 14:6.

Jesus grace gives life and ignorance brings death.

Why do I say ignorance brings death? If there is nothing sow into that person. Meaning the person has never been taught. A  person is lost because of a lack of knowledge or disobedience.

Jesus sows the good seeds into us. When we listen to and obey Jesus, His spirit gives us life; His words and way give us direction and growth. Jesus sows the good seed to all who listen. The seeds are scattered among us.

Direction and obedience to direction are growth.
So I’d rather be a slave than a slave of my own free will.

Freedom comes by faith and leads by grace. 2 Timothy 2:1 tells us, you then, my brother and sisters, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

Grace becomes our foundation through faith. Without a foundation, a person is broken, because there is nothing to hold that person together.

When a person is endowing qualities, by being obedient to someone they are standing on a foundation of faith.

By grace, I am set free. Without direction, I am a slave to my own free will.

Obedience allows me to be directed by grace by using faith.
I’d rather be a slave than a slave of my own free will. Because in the beginning, I was ready a slave, but now I have been set free.

Why do I say that?

The one who was a slave when called to faith in the Lord is the Lord’s freed person; similarly, the one who was free when called is Christ’s slave. 1 Corinthians 7:22.

Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin. Romans 7:25.

Because I choose to be obedient to Jesus Christ, I put to death my sinful self, so I may have life by his direction that is for me.
I’d rather be a slave than a slave of my own free will.

1 Peter 1:13-16 tells us. Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming.

As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance.  But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.

Yes.
I’d rather be a slave than a slave of my own free will.
