I'd Rather Be A Slave - Truth & Knowledge

June 02, 2023

Truth & Knowledge: Episode 16 – "I'd Rather Be a Slave" In this episode, Trey Knowles expresses a powerful conviction: he would rather be a slave to righteousness than to evil. He reflects on the reality that true freedom doesn’t come from following our own will, but from surrendering to a greater purpose. Trey acknowledges that without obedience, there is no direction—and we cannot rightly guide ourselves. We were not created to live without a Master. We need a Master who gives life, who is life—our Father in heaven. As Scripture says in Romans 7:25, “Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.” As followers of Christ, we are called to live as obedient children—not conforming to the evil desires of our past, but pursuing holiness. “Be holy, because I am holy,” for the one who called us is holy.

Trusting the Trustee - Truth & Knowledge

May 26, 2023

Truth & Knowledge – Episode 15: "Trusting the Trustee": In this episode, Trey Knowles explores the root of trust issues—highlighting a lack of patience and accountability. He explains that true trust requires surrendering your own will. But who are you surrendering it to? The one who loves you. Trust is defined as having confidence, faith, or hope in someone or something. Surrendering your will means choosing to listen, believe, and act based on that trust. It’s the willingness to follow the guidance of the Trustee—the one entrusted with your care. Before you can surrender, you must first recognize your own need: that you are vulnerable, poor in spirit, and in need of help. If you fail to see your need and rely only on your own wisdom, you fall short of true trust. A Trustee has a legal obligation to protect and care for the vulnerable—because love always protects. In spiritual terms, Jesus is the ultimate Trustee. Trusting in Him means placing your faith and confidence in His love, guidance, and protection. "Trust is having confidence, faith, or hope in someone or something. Trust in Jesus."

Have Mercy - Truth & Knowledge

May 18, 2023

Truth & Knowledge: Episode 14 – "Have Mercy": In this episode, Trey Knowles teaches the importance of having mercy—both for ourselves and for others. Mercy means showing compassion and forgiveness for mistakes, while its opposite, malice, involves harboring ill will or wishing harm, even towards oneself. Choosing mercy over malice is essential, as malice reflects a desire to do evil, which contradicts the nature of love. Love does not take pleasure in wrongdoing, nor does it hold past faults against anyone. Ask yourself: Do you live with mercy, or with malice? Trey highlights Jesus' words in Matthew 9:13: "But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." This episode calls listeners to reflect on their hearts and choose mercy—the true expression of love.

Guns And Wisdom - Truth & Knowledge

April 29, 2023

Truth & Knowledge – Episode 12: "Guns and Wisdom" In this episode, Trey Knowles explores the concept of guns through a spiritual lens, emphasizing that a gun is inherently a weapon of destruction, not a giver of life. Its purpose is to end existence through harm or force. Knowles challenges listeners to reflect on what they consider admirable and how those values align with a heart rooted in love. He argues that if one lives according to the Spirit of Love, a gun cannot be seen as admirable or praiseworthy. The desire for such a weapon contradicts the principles of love and peace. Referencing Matthew 10:28, Knowles reminds us to fear not those who can harm the body, but to revere God, who holds power over both body and soul. He further supports his message with teachings from Romans 12, urging listeners not to repay evil with evil but to live honorably and peacefully. Vengeance belongs to God, not man. Instead, we are called to respond to enemies with compassion—feeding the hungry, giving drink to the thirsty—and to overcome evil with good. The episode calls for a deep examination of how our values align with divine love and urges a rejection of violence in favor of peace and spiritual wisdom.

Irrational Foolishness - Truth & Knowledge

April 23, 2023

Truth & Knowledge: Episode 11 – "Irrational Foolishness" In this episode, Trey Knowles explores the concept of irrational foolishness—a mindset where people think and act without logic, reason, or morality. Such individuals are driven by impulse, embracing darkness and rejecting common sense. Knowles points out that irrational people often confuse good with evil, accept negativity as part of their identity, and engage in immoral behaviors like substance abuse, vulgar speech, and reckless living. Their judgment is clouded, and their thinking becomes twisted. Knowles emphasizes that true wisdom and clarity come from God. He references Romans 12:9 (“Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good”) and James 1:5, which encourages those lacking wisdom to seek it from God, who gives generously. The path to overcoming irrational foolishness begins with seeking a relationship with God.

Beer and Wisdom - Truth & Knowledge

April 15, 2023

Truth & Knowledge: Episode 10 – "Beer and Wisdom": In this episode, Trey Knowles discusses the spiritual implications of drinking alcohol, emphasizing that it is wise to avoid it altogether. He references Proverbs 20:1 and Proverbs 31:6-7, which caution against being misled by wine and strong drink. Trey explains that beer is described in Scripture as something for "those who are perishing"—people who are trying to forget their misery and spiritual poverty. He argues that drinking beer is a sign of forgetting one's need for Jesus and His Spirit. To live wisely and spiritually, Trey says, is to recognize our continual dependence on God. Drinking, in contrast, dulls that awareness and can lead one back into a state of spiritual poverty. The episode calls listeners to live by the Spirit of God and leave behind anything, like alcohol, that draws them away from Him.

What Is in Your Heart?

April 10, 2023

What is in your heart? Am I just talking to the air? Was Christ crucified for nothing? You claim to be wise you Nations of Swine eaters (A wild beast that eats everything). God made Jesus Christ who did not know sin to be sin (Death on the Cross) for us so that God’s righteousness would be produced in us. The resurrection of life. The same spirit that raised Jesus up from the dead.

Although you claimed to be wise. You are fools. You say that sin is your human condition. How is that so? You the Vatican City of Rome and Nations of Swine. You exchanged the glory of the immortal God (God that does not die) for images made to look like a mortal human being. You worship the dead, you glamourize skulls. You wear tattoos of animals. You make cuts to your body as if you own your own body. Laugh out loud, do you give yourself breath to your own lungs? You say this is your human condition. You exchanged the truth about God for a lie.

What is in your heart? You worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator — who is forever praised. Amen. Your mind has been deprived, morally corrupt; wicked: Look at you. You men who exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. You women who exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. You claim it’s your human condition. You lust. What is in your heart?

You have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed, and depravity. You are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, and malice. You gossip, you slander, you God-haters, you are insolent, you are arrogant and boastful; you invent ways of doing evil; you disobey your parents; you have no understanding, no fidelity (no faithfulness), no love, no mercy. Repent and change (turn your life around to God and to His Righteousness), you Nations of Swine.

To those who know God’s righteous decree. Are you trying to crucify Christ all over again? Was Christ crucified for nothing? No. Why do you continue to sin? or approve of those who do? Unless you deserve death meaning you don't won't be saved.

What is in your heart? Am I just talking to the air? Was Christ crucified for nothing? Answer my question and speak. Was Christ crucified for nothing? What is in your heart? For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is life and death to those who are perishing. Faith is acting on what God says. So what is in your heart?

Sincerely, Trey Knowles
